PHOTO CONTEST OF KALYMNOS CLIMBING FESTIVAL 2011

The photo contest will be held under the Climbing Festival of Kalymnos Island Greece during the period of 18-22 May 2011 with the subject «Climbing in Kalymnos» and in accordance with the terms and conditions below.

ΔΙΑΓΩΝΙΣΜΟΣ ΦΩΤΟΓΡΑΦΙΑΣ ΑΝΑΡΡΙΧΗΤΙΚΟΥ ΦΕΣΤΙΒΑΛ ΚΑΛΥΜΝΟΥ 2011

Ο Διαγωνισμός Φωτογραφίας θα διεξαχθεί στα πλαίσια του Αναρριχητικού Φεστιβάλ της Καλύμνου στο διάστημα 18-22 Μαΐου 2011 με θέμα «Αναρρίχηση στην Κάλυμνο» και σύμφωνα με τους ειδικούς και γενικούς όρους που ακολουθούν.

Special Conditions

For participating in the contest, an application must be submitted no later than 20/05/2011 in which there is an explicit and unreserved acceptance of the terms as well as a statement that the photos belong to the sender. You can also apply on line after registering at http://www.kalymnos-hotels.com/Kalymnos-Climbing-Festival/members
All photos that the contestant will bring must be strictly shot by the him/her.
Photos can be shot with any type of cameras either digital or analogical.
The category of the competition is 1 (one) with the subject: "Climbing in Kalymnos'.
Each photographer should hand 3 (three) pictures over to the Evaluation Committee of the Photo Contest no later than 21.05.2011 and before noon (12:00).
1. The photos should be printed on photographic paper A4 size. Behind each photo the exact location and date of photographing together with the details of the photographer should be written.
2. The photos should be stored in a CD in a digital form in the jpeg format and in the largest possible analysis. The CD will also contain the elements of the photographer. Filenames should not contain any spaces and they should be a composition of:
  1. The name of the photographer
  2. The serial number of the photo and
  3. Kalymnos-Climbing-Festibal-2011 eg. Michalis-Paou-1-Kalymnos-Climbing-Festival-2011.jpg
The photos will be delivered installed in a folder, on which the name of the participant and the words "FOR THE PHOTO CONTEST OF KALYMNOS CLIMBING FESTIVAL 2011" will appear on the outside.
The contest results are irreversible. None of the contestants has the right to object.
The folders of the participation and the photos are not returned.

EVALUATION COMMITTEE AND METHOD OF ASSESSMENT

The Evaluation Committee consists of 3 (three) people.
Each image is graded from 1 to 10 by each member of the committee. The final classification is made according to the total score each photo completes.
The Evaluation Committee will meet to nominate the winners on the 21st of May 2011.
The results will be announced in a ceremony at a time and place quoted in the final curriculum of the festival.

AWARDS

All participants in the contest will receive commendations for participating.
Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 (three) winners.
The awards are strictly personal and they are not exchanged or cashed for money.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Organizing Authority is the Municipality of Kalymnos, the Kalymnos Hoteliers Association and the Kalymnos Climbing Club
The copyright of the photographs remain to the photographer. The photos of the participation remain at the files of the Organizing Authority who has the right to use them for the promotion of the festival on the sole condition that the name of the photographer always appears on it. However, any right from the side of the photographer or a third party is not established by the use of his/her photo.
Participants consent that their personal data will be used by the Organizing Authority in a database for future contact with them.
Participants consent that their names can be published in any publications of the Organizing Authority.
The Organizing Authority reserves the right to change the terms of the participation and conduct of the contest as well as to cancel it only for a good reason.
The organizers of the festival and members of the jury can not participate in the contest.

Ειδικοί Όροι

Η συμμετοχή στο Διαγωνισμό γίνεται με αίτηση που πρέπει να υποβληθεί το αργότερο μέχρι τις 20-5-2011 με την οποία γίνεται ρητή και ανεπιφύλακτη αποδοχή των όρων του παρόντος και δήλωση ότι οι φωτογραφίες ανήκουν στον διαγωνιζόμενο.
Όλες οι φωτογραφίες που θα καταθέσει ο διαγωνιζόμενος θα πρέπει να είναι αυστηρά τραβηγμένες από τον ίδιο.
Οι λήψεις μπορούν να γίνουν με κάθε είδους κάμερα είτε ψηφιακή είτε αναλογική.
Οι κατηγορίες του διαγωνισμού είναι 1 (μία) με θέμα «Αναρρίχηση στην Κάλυμνο»:
Κάθε φωτογράφος θα πρέπει να παραδώσει στην Επιτροπή Αξιολόγησης του Διαγωνισμού Φωτογραφίας το αργότερο στις 21-5-2011 το μεσημέρι ώρα 12:00 3 (τρεις) φωτογραφίες
1. Εκτυπωμένες σε φωτογραφικό χαρτί μεγέθους Α4. Πίσω από κάθε φωτογραφία θα πρέπει να γράφεται η ακριβής τοποθεσία και ημερομηνία που έχει γίνει η φωτογράφηση καθώς και τα στοιχεία του φωτογράφου και
2. Αποθηκευμένες σε ψηφιακή μορφή σε μορφή jpeg σε όσο το δυνατόν μεγαλύτερη ανάλυση, σε CD στο οποίο επίσης θα αναγράφονται τα στοιχεία του φωτογράφου. Τα ονόματα των αρχείων θα πρέπει να μην περιέχουν κενά και να είναι σύνθεση
  1. του ονόματος του φωτογράφου
  2. του αύξοντα αριθμού της φωτογραφίας και

Οι φωτογραφίες θα παραδοθούν τοποθετημένες σε φάκελο στον οποίο εξωτερικά θα αναγράφεται το ονοματεπώνυμο του διαγωνιζόμενου και η ένδειξη «ΓΙΑ ΤΟ ΔΙΑΓΩΝΙΣΜΟ ΦΩΤΟΓΡΑΦΙΑΣ ΤΟΥ ΑΝΑΡΡΙΧΗΤΙΚΟΥ ΦΕΣΤΙΒΑΛ ΚΑΛΥΜΝΟΥ 2011»
Τα αποτελέσματα του διαγωνισμού είναι αμετάκλητα. Κανείς από τους συμμετέχοντες δεν έχει το δικαίωμα ένστασης.
Οι φάκελοι συμμετοχής και οι φωτογραφίες δεν επιστρέφονται.

ΕΠΙΤΡΟΠΗ ΑΞΙΟΛΟΓΗΣΗΣ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΟΠΟΣ ΑΞΙΟΛΟΓΗΣΗΣ

Η Επιτροπή Αξιολόγησης αποτελείται από 3 άτομα.
Κάθε φωτογραφία βαθμολογείται από το 1 ως το 10, από κάθε ένα μέλος της επιτροπής. Η τελική κατάταξη γίνεται σύμφωνα με τη συνολική βαθμολογία που συμπληρώνει κάθε φωτογραφία.
Η Επιτροπή Αξιολόγησης θα συνεδριάσει για την ανάδειξη των νικητών στις 21 Μαΐου 2011.
Τα αποτελέσματα θα ανακοινωθούν σε ειδική τελετή απονομής σε χρόνο και τόπο που θα αναφέρεται στο τελικό αναλυτικό πρόγραμμα του Φεστιβάλ.

ΒΡΑΒΕΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΔΙΟΡΓΑΝΩΣΗΣ

Όλοι οι συμμετέχοντες στον διαγωνισμό θα λάβουν έπαινο συμμετοχής.
Βραβείο θα απονεμηθεί στους 3 πρώτους νικητές.
Τα βραβεία είναι αυστηρώς προσωπικά και δεν ανταλλάσσονται με άλλα ούτε εξαργυρώνονται με χρήματα.

ΓΕΝΙΚΟΙ ΟΡΟΙ ΚΑΙ ΚΑΝΟΝΙΣΜΟΙ

Διοργανώτρια Αρχή είναι ο Δήμος Καλύμνου, η Καλυμνιακή Ένωση Ξενοδόχων και ο Ορειβατικός Σύλλογος Καλύμνου.
Τα πνευματικά δικαιώματα των φωτογραφιών παραμένουν στον φωτογράφο. Οι φωτογραφίες παραμένουν στο αρχείο της Διοργανώτριας Αρχής η οποία έχει το δικαίωμα να τις χρησιμοποιεί για την προβολή του Φεστιβάλ, χωρίς να θεμελιώνεται εκ της χρήσης τους οποιαδήποτε δικαίωμα του φωτογράφου ή τρίτου προσώπου, με τη μόνη προϋπόθεση ότι θα αναγράφεται πάντα το όνομα του φωτογράφου.
Οι συμμετέχοντες συναινούν ότι τα προσωπικά τους δεδομένα θα χρησιμοποιηθούν από τη Διοργανώτρια Αρχή σε αρχείο δεδομένων με σκοπό τη μελλοντική επικοινωνία μαζί τους.
Οι συμμετέχοντες συναινούν ότι τα ονόματα τους μπορούν να δημοσιοποιηθούν στις δημοσιεύσεις της Διοργανώτριας Αρχής
Η Διοργανώτρια Αρχή διατηρεί το δικαίωμα να μεταβάλλει τους όρους συμμετοχής και διεξαγωγής του διαγωνισμού καθώς και να ακυρώσει αυτόν μόνο για σπουδαίο λόγο.
Οι διοργανωτές του φεστιβάλ, τα μέλη της κριτικής επιτροπής δεν μπορούν να συμμετάσχουν στο διαγωνισμό
